At Virgin Holidays, we believe amazing service should come as standard. That’s why Virgin Holiday’s magic touches are made available to all Virgin Holidays customers – not just the VIPs!

We realise that you want to make the most of being on holiday, so we came up with Check in, Chill out, so you can check in for your flight without leaving the beach…or bar. Airports are a drag. The holiday only really starts when you get to your destination. And if you’ve got kids, then airports are living nightmares. So, to perk up the airport experience, we came up with the VRoom. And when you’re on holiday, you want to make sure it’s as good as it can be. That’s where Virgin Holidays’ Concierge service comes in – a concierge actually tuned in to the buzz of your destination, not a guy in a suit on kick backs from rip-off restaurants. This belief is what sets Virgin Holidays apart from the competition. That’s why we actually encourage our customers to ‘Ask For the World’.

But how do you express that exclusive treatment in a single thought. What do Virgin Holidays offer that no-one else does? We think it can be described as…

“ROCKSTAR SERVICE”

It’s a level of care you’d normally associate with the glamour and excitement of the entertainment elite. Made available to every Virgin Holidays customer.

The Rockstar Service campaign is the latest creative expression of this belief. With Virgin Holidays, you can rest assured that you’ll get intuitive, imaginative typically brilliant twinkle-in-the-eye Virgin service, every single time you travel with us.

Finding where to go is the number one problem when going on holiday. Maybe not the bigger one, but it is the first one you have when it comes the time to make decisions about your holiday. When trying to decide, the best advice is probably the closest. Friends and family will be your most trusted advisers. They will know what you like and dislike, will probably be passionate and honest about the advice and, for some the best part, will have plenty of pictures or videos of their holidays to show you.

But for some of us that isn’t enough. If you’re trying to put together a holiday plan that suits you, you may want to dig a little deeper. And the internet is the best way to find all the information you need. It’s the best place to find anything, a great source for user comments and for detailed guides and more information about where you might want to go. Some people like to micromanage and plan everything to detail, and that’s when the internet comes in really handy. You can look up schedules and prices for anything you might want to visit, as well as reading the thoughts and opinions of others who may have done something similar to what you want to do.

There are many interesting things said about Dubai. This desert city is said to have opulent city hotels, is the most secure, has spectacular beaches and offers world class shopping. This top travel destination is wedged between Asia and Europe and is certainly a city of surprises. Back in 1999, Dubai earned several international travel industry awards but the most significant was the one for being the safest holiday location.

It also won an award for best shopping value and the Emirates airline was voted number one. Besides developing luxury restaurants and hotels, there are also plenty of entertainment and the Wild Wadi Water Park being just one. This water park is next door to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel that offers vegetation along with the beauty of the lush scenery.

If this sounds like a place you would like to visit on your next holiday, flights to Dubai are easy to find. While in Dubai you must see the Palm Islands. These three island are the largest man-made islands and are claimed to be visible from the moon. In 2008 they opened an ambitious attempt to recreate the shape of our world by using three-hundred off shore islands. A holiday to Dubai can only be described as unforgettable and a destination that will be on the list of many people for years to come.

There are many travelers who feel that the many small islands in this sea is the perfect place for cruising. This is where you see islands with palm trees, white sand beaches and waters at turquoise as the precious stone. There are many shore excursions to take advantage of with each island offering its own culture and crafts.

You will be amazed at the countless colonial influences that go back in history to early days. There will be many languages spoken like Spanish, French and Dutch to name just a few. The tropical breezes that blow constantly will be a nice contrast to the cool and clear waters. All these islands in the Caribbean welcome all visitors and you will find people from all corners of the world enjoying the wonders that they offer. You can dive with sea turtles, snorkel with brightly colored tropical fish and get a tan that your friends back home will envy. Grand Caymen is just one of the many ports you can choose from and offers the most attractions.

Do you travel with your pet? If so then you will look for accommodations that take pets when you travel away from home. Because more and more people take their pets with them these days, more hotel are changing their rules and allowing them in their rooms. There is usually a fee for this but pet owners don’t care as long as they can keep their pets will them at all times. All you need to do is a search online for hotels that allow pets.

The London Bridge is just one of many who take pets and so dose the Grosvenor Kensington. The Milestone is a five star hotel in Kensington Gardens and at this hotel you will find that each room it totally unique and they also take pets. If you do a search online you will find many London hotels that will allow you to bring your pet with you. There is also a special airline that is just for pets.

While in London, you will find that many of the European train will let you bring you pet with you unlike the US where the Amtrak, the only train in the US, does not allow them. Each country will have their own rules for this so check in advance before you bring your pet and find out that it is not welcome.

The best way to get the best price on airline tickets is to start your search and purchase it months in advance. If you will be heading to Europe for the summer, then four or five months before that is when you should begin looking. If you are purchasing for yourself, return to a few websites to check their prices and if you will work with a travel agent, then that person can give you advice on the best time to buy.
Maybe you want a be in Europe in September, so then you would search for flights to London in May or June. Winter time is not as popular so a trip in November through March does not need more an a month or so on advance. Holidays and winter breaks are the exception here.

It is a good idea to find out when the peak season begins because airfares will certainly vary by season and also by the day. Often you can save hundreds of dollars by just moving your departure date out by just one day. It is common knowledge that leaving on a week day, Monday thru Thursday, will cost you less than if you choose to leave on a weekend. Fuel surcharges will vary also and each airline will be different.

When you reach your adult life you stop caring about what other people think about yourself. It’s fine to carve your own path through life without having to worry about how other people feel about you, but it is useful to know what people feel about, say, other things.

And this is especially true when it comes to spending your money. Sure enough, you’re your own man or woman and you can do research yourself and find good deals or excellent stuff out there. But there’s no excuse not to listen to what other people have to say about things. Especially when you don’t necessarily need to know them or be talking to them directly.

Any decent website will have a comments section where you can learn what others feel about the product their selling, be it a package for holidays in Gran Canaria, a super effective hair dryer or just a piece of jewelry. Speaking of holidays, you can also find out what people feel about hotels or specific airline companies online.

For example, I recently flew with this particularly terrible airline company that cuts corners everywhere. It was a nightmare of a ride, nothing short of making us ride the plane standing or having to cook our own meals – we would have to if we wanted to, since they didn’t really offer a meal, not even if you paid for it. Later on I found a comments section on a traveling website that talked about someone’s experience, and it was very similar to mine. If only I had found that out before I could have avoided all of that.

The same thing goes for hotels. Hotel descriptions can be very misleading. I recently found a hotel that advertised itself as being “5 minutes from the city center” and “in a nice neighborhood”. Looking at the comments section in the hotel booking website I was using made me realize that it was actually 5 minutes from a bus station that would lead you to the city center, and that the place wasn’t nice at all.

It was also thanks to the comments of strangers online that I found my cheap Canaries Holidays from OnTheBeach. I would honestly never have looked twice at that website, if I even found it, if it weren’t for someone talking about how they one time decided not to use it and regretted it terribly. I now use it for all my travel bookings.

Tunisia may be the smallest country in North Africa but it truly compensates for this with its diverse cultural background. Traces of past invaders can be found throughout Tunisia, one being the city of Carthage. Legend proclaims it was founded in 814 BC by Phoenician colonists. The city was also ruled by the Romans and remained one of the most influential Roman cities until the Muslim conquest when it was sacked a second time in AD 698.

During the Arabic era which began during the 7th century, huge walled cities with maze like streets were erected. These market towns (Medina’s) often contain historical fountains, palaces, and mosques making them eminently popular with tourists. The French also left behind some rather exquisite architecture including some very beautiful colonial boulevards.

To the north of the country where the land is more fertile, beautiful forests and woodland are punctuated by beguiling mountains. On the coastline of Tunisia you will find the most alluring and stunning beaches to be found on the Mediterranean. Just off the east coast of Tunisia is the Island of Djerba where the filming of the exterior scenes of Mos Eisley were shot in the town of Ajim for the film Star Wars. You can see why George Lucas chose Tunisia for his film, some of the buildings look not of this world.

Another great draw for Star Wars fans is the alien Berber architecture habitat that can be found in the south, this is where the filming of Luke Skywalkers home on Tatooine was filmed. This wonderful cave dwelling is now a hotel that can be visited at a reasonable price, it truly is out of this world. Tunisia’s Sahara desert also had a starring role in the late Anthony Minghella’s English Patient.

For an adventure in the Sahara why not jump on a quad bike or better still a humped backed beast, that’s a camel not a whale by the way, first make sure your travel insurance is up to date and then head out across the sea of dunes. Dune skiing is a big favourite with tourists and there’s no chance of frost bite but sand can be a problem when it gets in to places it shouldn’t. Overall Tunisia is a fantastic country to visit with a wonderful climate that rarely dips below 20 degrees centigrade. Go visit now and may the force be with you.

Transferring money overseas using online foreign exchange companies has become an essential part of everyday life for a broad range of professionals. Whether it’s sending money to family members or friends back home or purchasing items abroad the safest and most efficient way to do this would be to use an online foreign exchange specialist.

For professionals working abroad, safe, quick, sales, etc smooth and dependable money transactions are a necessity. There are a number of different types of International Money Transfer. Banks, post offices and travel shops also provide the facility of money transfers abroad. When sending money by electronic transfer using these facilities, you could expect to be charged for the service. Using a company that specialises in money transfers abroad will save you money because they will calculate the charge as part of the rate exchange in their quote.

Always shop around to find the best deal on your transaction. Currency rates constantly rise and fall so keep this in mind when researching what company to go with. Online money transfer services are quick, simple to use, stable and trustworthy. Security is one of the main factors for the online foreign exchange services market. A bona-fide reputed foreign exchange provider should transfer your money hassle free and in the most secure way possible.

You can also transfer funds using debit cards, credit cards, online money orders and of course the accustomed money transfer methods that are widely available, but to save money and time it would be more desirable to use an online foreign exchange company.
